History:
Our
Collin County Muslims' dream of
taking charge of our children's
education and growing them as next
generation role-model Muslim leaders
starts here in Plano at IACC
(Islamic Association of Collin County)
Academy. We started with
5 students in 2003 under the leadership
of our experienced (15+ years of
experience) and state licensed
Director Shaheen Madni.
The
school grew to occupy all available
classrooms at the Plano Masjid in
a very short time. The number
of students rose to sixty in a short
time, and the school ran out of
space! By the grace of Allah, IACC
purchased a former school building
with ample space and several playgrounds
to continue its expansion and quality
programs. The Director, Sr. Shaheen
Madni, Assistant Director, Sr. Ayesha
Sohael, Assistant Principal, Br.
Wadud Hassan, and the dedicated
team of teachers have shown our
community the great value of education
in an Islamic environment. The growth
of IACC Academy is primarily
due to the referrals of satisfied
parents.
We
have grown to have attracted over
hundred students by Fall, 2006!
In three years, we have started
the consultation process for Accreditation
with SACS (Southern Association
of Colleges and Schools), and have
become affiliated with various prestigious
organizations such as the Phi Delta
Kappa International, NAESP (National
Association of Elementary School
Principals) and the Islamic Schools'
League of America. We believe in
continuous staff development, curriculum
improvement, Islam and character
education integration in regular
subjects and national testing (CTBS)
to compare our students nationally
with top private schools in the
nation. We are continuing to expand,
improve, and excel.
